"The Generational: Younger than Jesus"
The New Museum's new signature Triennial features 50 artists under the age of 33 from 25 countries! The exhibition was inspired by the fact that young people have made some of the most influential and enduring gestures in art and history in the early stages of their lives. All five floors of the New Museum are dedicated to these young artists' works, ranging from new media technology and performance to sculpture and painting. This provocative exhibition has over 100 works representing the artistic practices of this generation. An artist featured in the exhibition will conduct a dynamic presentation about his or her practice in the morning seminar.

Lunch Break: 12-1 p.m.
Teachers should plan to go out for lunch from 12-1 p.m. (our café will be open)
Workshops will begin promptly at 1 p.m.

Afternoon Workshop: 1-3 p.m.
Following the morning session, New Museum educators will workshop ideas in response to the morning session's theme. Participants will explore visual inquiry and object-based learning in the New Museum's galleries and develop lesson plans around current exhibitions.
Space is limited. Reservations are honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
