The New Museum Teen Apprentice Program offers students ages fourteen to nineteen work experience and exposure to contemporary art and ideas through on-the-job training, career development talks, field trips to arts institutions, and group projects. Program participants will rotate jobs throughout the Museum and have the opportunity to work closely with mentors in several departments. Through close work with peers and interactive workshops, students will also collaborate meaningfully with the Museum’s artists in residence.
Participants will work a rotating schedule for six weeks, from Wednesday through Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., beginning on Wednesday, July 6 and ending on Friday, August 12. Selected participants will be paid a stipend for their participation.
