On Thursday January 17, come to the New Museum for a special screening of three animated films by William Kentridge, one of the most compelling interdisciplinary artists of our time, followed by a performance of Alexis Gideon’s Video Musics III: Floating Oceans. The third volume in Gideon’s critically acclaimed multimedia opera series, Floating Oceans matches live music with stop-motion animation to create a beautiful, richly textured experience.

A select number of FREE tickets are available for teens. Arrive at 6:30 p.m. to meet other teens and share ideas during a special preprogram conversation about the ways artists respond to artworks that inspire them.
